A starting point, not a prescription. Adult dogs are typically fed 2–3% of body weight per day on a raw diet. Begin in the middle, then adjust to body condition.
Puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, and dogs with a health condition have different requirements. Please check with your vet.
Raw meat can carry bacteria such as Salmonella and Listeria. It is manageable with ordinary kitchen hygiene, and we would rather say so plainly.
Move a pack from freezer to fridge the night before. Never thaw on the bench or in warm water.
Keep thawing packs on the bottom shelf in a sealed container. Use a dedicated board and bowl.
Wash hands with soap for 20 seconds. Wipe the bench and bowl area.
Someone is pregnant, very young, elderly or immunocompromised. Talk to your GP and vet first.
Straight answers to the questions people ask before feeding rawff.
Slowly. Replace about a quarter of the current food with rawff for three or four days, then half, then three quarters, then all of it. Loose stools during the change are common; if they persist beyond a week, slow down and speak to your vet.
Chicken is the gentler introduction and suits most dogs new to raw. Kangaroo is a novel protein, meaning most dogs have never encountered it, and it is very lean. If your dog has reacted to common proteins in the past, it is worth discussing kangaroo with your vet.
Update this answer once the laboratory analysis is finalised. State clearly whether each recipe is complete and balanced for a named life stage against a published nutrient profile, or complementary and fed alongside other food.
To be confirmed. Growth diets carry tighter calcium and phosphorus requirements. Only answer yes if the formulation and analysis support a growth or all-life-stages claim.
Orders ship frozen in insulated packaging. Packs may soften in transit; that is normal, and food that is still cold to the touch can go straight into your freezer. If anything arrives fully thawed or warm, send us a photo.
Keep unopened packs in the freezer at −18 °C until the best-before date. Once thawed, keep refrigerated and follow the use-by guidance on the pack. Do not refreeze a thawed pack.
